Pickleball Gifts for Dog Moms

“Dog mom” isn’t a phrase people use lightly. If she plays pickleball too, you already know the two topics that fill her week. This guide is about turning those two things into a gift she will actually use, not another mug with a generic paw print on it.

Transparency note: PawsNPaddles designs and sells the breed tees, mugs and stickers mentioned here. Everything else is a general suggestion with no brand attached.

The short version

  • Know her dog’s breed. It’s what makes the gift hers.
  • Pick by where it will live: the court bag (sticker), the kitchen counter (mug) or open play itself (tee).
  • A sticker and a mug together cost $26.98, less than one tee.
  • For Mother’s Day (9 May 2027), order by the end of April.

First, find out her dog’s breed

This sounds obvious until you’re standing at checkout unsure whether her dog is a Cocker Spaniel or an English Cocker Spaniel. A few ways to be sure without spoiling the surprise:

  • Check her photos. Dog moms post their dogs. The caption often names the breed.
  • Ask her doubles partner. People who play together every week know each other’s dogs by name.
  • For a mix, use the breed she mentions first when someone asks. A Goldendoodle owner will usually say Goldendoodle, and there’s a design for that.
  • Watch for lookalikes. Collie and Shetland Sheepdog, Australian Shepherd and Miniature American Shepherd, Cocker Spaniel and English Cocker Spaniel are separate designs.

Every breed page shows that breed’s tee, mug and sticker together, so once you know the breed, start from its page.

Choose by where the gift will live

The same design works on three very different objects. The right one depends on her routine more than on your budget.

In the court bag: a breed sticker ($9.99)

If her paddle bag, water bottle or cooler already has stickers on it, this is the easy win. Each one is a 6 x 6 inch die-cut vinyl print, big enough to spot across the court when bags pile up by the fence.

On the kitchen counter: a breed mug ($16.99)

For the dog mom whose day starts with a walk, then coffee, then the court schedule. The mug is 11 oz ceramic with her breed printed on both sides, so it faces out whichever hand she uses. It’s also the pick if you don’t know her size.

At open play: a breed tee ($29.99 in S–XL)

The tee is the gift she’ll wear where other players will notice it. It’s a lightweight unisex jersey tee in Natural, Black, Navy or Dark Grey Heather. Because it’s unisex, sizing runs like a standard crew-neck tee rather than a fitted women’s cut, so measure a T-shirt she already likes, laid flat from armpit to armpit: S is 18 inches, M 20, L 22, XL 24, 2XL 26 and 3XL 28. Tees are printed for each order, so a wrong size can’t simply be exchanged.

Small combinations that feel generous

Two small things often land better than one bigger one, because they cover both halves of her week.

  • Coffee and court: a breed mug plus a sticker for her bag, $26.98 together.
  • Mug and a treat: the mug with a bag of coffee from a local roaster tucked inside.
  • Tee and grips: the tee plus a pack of overgrips, which every regular player goes through.
  • From the whole group: if her doubles group is chipping in, the tee from everyone and a sticker from each person is a nice touch.

What to skip

  • A paddle, unless she asked for a specific one. Weight, grip and shape are personal, and a paddle she doesn’t like is an expensive shelf ornament. If you’re curious why, our guide to paddle weight explains how much one feature alone changes the feel.
  • A generic “dog mom” slogan. She has plenty. Her dog’s breed is the detail that makes it hers.
  • Courtside dog gear, unless her courts allow dogs. Many parks and clubs don’t, and a travel bowl for a dog who never comes along won’t get used.

Ordering for Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day 2027 falls on Sunday 9 May. Everything here is printed after you order, and production usually takes 2–7 business days before the parcel ships, with carrier time on top. Ordering by the end of April leaves a comfortable margin; a week later is cutting it fine. Busy seasons can run longer, so earlier is always safer. The full details are on our shipping and returns page.
